The Great Invasion: One Year of Development

One year has passed since production began on Space Ruckus: The Great Invasion. The pre-production phase of development concluded last year. That phase included conceptual pieces and writing. During the course of this year, the team has worked on level designs, music compositions, and voice-overs. There is still a great deal of work to be done, but the game is getting closer to completion with each passing day.



Space Ruckus: Sixth Anniversary
Wednesday, July 14th, 2004

Today marks the sixth anniversary of Space Ruckus' launch. Four sequels were produced over the course of two years. Although homebrew in nature, they did well to establish Goalsoft as a computer game developer. The current game in development is Space Ruckus: The Great Invasion, and the team behind it are putting the utmost professional quality into their work. The game is expected to be released sometime next year.



General: More Ways to Communicate

We have launched a new section of the site. The chat section is your gateway to getting in contact with the Space Ruckus team and fans of the project. Available from this section is a link to the forum, a Java IRC client (as well as information about connecting through mIRC), and e-mail contacts. We hope that this allows for the best possible discussion of the project, and for developer communication. We hope that everyone enjoys the new features.



General: PayPal Donations

We recently setup a PayPal account for Goalsoft (the team behind Space Ruckus). We aren't asking for large donations. A few dollars will be just fine. If enough people submit a few dollars, it will amount to something big. The money earned will be split among the developers upon completion of the project.



The Great Invasion: Requesting Additional Developers
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2004

We are seeking 3D modelers, level designers, programmers, and texture artists. A few prime examples of scenes needed for the project include a base orbiting a planet (exterior and interior), enemy/friendly ships, and space backdrops. The characters are composed of aliens/humans in space outfits. Here is a preview of the development center. All developers have access to this area. It contains databases, development discussions, production documents, and much more.

Space Ruckus: Rebirth

One of Goalsoft's classic franchises is about to make its long awaited return. The year was 1998, and Goalsoft released its first computer game. It was an action game set in space about a cunning pilot. The actions of this pilot saved the galaxy from a full-scale alien invasion. That pilot's name was Bill Grig, and the name of the game was Space Ruckus. Space Ruckus: The Great Invasion is in development now.
